Week 35 (24-30 Aug)

29 Aug: Backstreet Boys - Straight Through My Heart

"Straight Through My Heart" is a song performed by American Grammy-nominated international pop boy band Backstreet Boys. It is being released as the lead single from the group's seventh studio album titled This is Us and is their first of three collaborations with critically acclaimed songwriter and producer RedOne apprearing on the album. The video for Straight Through My Heart was filmed on August 7th and 8th of 2009 in downtown Los Angeles, California. It was released on August 27 on Us Weekly's website. 


28 Aug: Livvi Franc feat Pitbull - Now I'm That Bitch

"Now I'm That Bitch" ("Now I'm That Chick", censored version) is the official first single by English-Barbadian singer Livvi Franc. It features rapper Pitbull. The song was released on June 30 2009. The video for 'Now I'm That Bitch has already been released and can be found on her official website. It was released on August 14, 2009 on Myspace. 'Now I'm That Bitch' has been getting much airplay since its release and continues to do so.


27 Aug: David Guetta feat Akon - Sexy Bitch

"Sexy Bitch" is a song recorded by French disc jockey, David Guetta. It features guest vocals by American R&B vocalist, Akon and was released digitally on July 24, 2009 worldwide and later on July 28 in the United States. It will act as the second single from Guetta's upcoming fourth studio album One Love following "When Love Takes Over". A music video for the song has been shot and now released where it is avaliable for streaming online from Take 40 Australia.


26 Aug: Mary J. Blige - Stronger

"Stronger" will be released as the second single from the upcoming ninth studio album from American R&B and soul recording artist Mary J. Blige in September and October 2009. The song is going also be released as part of the soundtrack to an upcoming basket ball film titled, More Than a Game, on August 18, 2009, but recieves its official single release later on.


25 Aug: Breaking Benjamin - I Will Not Bow

"I Will Not Bow" is the first single off Breaking Benjamin's upcoming album "Dear Agony", Available September 29. It will also be featured on the new Bruce Willis film "Surrogates". The video was shot at the World Trade Center building 7, but has no connection or significant meaning having to do with the 9/11 events as stated by Aaron Fink in his Point interview on August 13, 2009. The video was directed by Rich Lee who has also directed for Evanescence. Lee chose the location feeling it was an eerie location to film.


24 Aug: Dizzee Rascal feat Chrome - Holiday

"Holiday" is a song by Dizzee Rascal featuring Chrome and produced by previous collaborator, Calvin Harris. It is taken from his fourth album Tongue "N" Cheek. The single was released on 24 August 2009. The video premiered on Channel 4 at 10.45 on 25th July 2009. DJ Goldie makes an appearance throughout the video.

22 Aug: LMFAO - La La La

The official music video LMFAO's for the second single off their debut full-length album "Party Rock".


21 Aug: Noisettes - Wild Young Hearts (New Version)

Noisettes release 'Wild Young Hearts', the title track from their current album, on August 31.


20 Aug: Jay-Z feat Rihanna & Kanye West - Run This Town

"Run This Town" is a 2009 song performed by American hip hop musician Jay-Z. The song features Barbadian R&B singer Rihanna and rapper Kanye West. It was released as the lead single of Jay-Z's upcoming studio album The Blueprint 3. The video was directed by Anthony Mandler and was filmed on August 6, 2009 at Fort Totten Park in New York City. The video premiered on August 20th on MTV, as well other MTV channels across the world, and the internet.


19 Aug: Jamie T - Chaka Demus

Jamie T releases 'Chaka Demus', the second single from his upcoming album Kings and Queens, on August 31. The video to the lead track was directed by Dan Henshaw and Julian Fletcher, it was inspired by the film The Cannonball Run. In the UK and Ireland the video was released online exclusively on MUZU.TV on August 14, and across all platforms on August 17.


18 Aug: Nelly feat Pharrell - Let It Go Lil Mama

The fifth official single from the albub "Brass Knuckles" is "Let It Go Lil Mama", featuring Pharrell. The single and the video premiered on August 15, 2009.


17 Aug: Basshunter - Every Morning

Basshunter releases 'Every Morning', the lead single from his upcoming Bass Generation album, on September 21.

15 Aug: Ian Carey - S.O.S.

14 Aug: Paramore - Ignorance

"Ignorance" is the first single from Paramore's third album, Brand New Eyes. It is Paramore's eighth US single and ninth UK single. The song was made available for digital download on July 7, 2009, but was shown on paramore.net the day before. The music video was filmed on July 23rd, 2009. It was released to the public Thursday, August 13th, 2009 at 7:00 AM on AMTV, as well as all MTV platforms, networks, and websites.


13 Aug: Peter Andre - Behind Closed Doors

Behind Closed Doors is the first single from Peter Andre's sixth album Revelation. It was released on August 9, 2009. Andre wrote the song himself and has said he loves the feel of it. The song had its first airplay on Chris Moyles' BBC Radio 1 show and has since received heavy airplay on music channels.


12 Aug: Daniel Merriweather - Impossible

Daniel Merriweather releases 'Impossible', the third single from his Love And War album, on August 17.


11 Aug: The Prodigy - Take Me To The Hospital

"Take Me to the Hospital" will be the twenty-first single released by the British electronic band The Prodigy. To be released on 31 August 2009. The music video became available to view exclusively on the VidZone application for PlayStation 3 on August 4th. The video was also posted on the official website and Youtube channel on August 5th.


10 Aug: T.I. feat John Legend - Slide Slow

"Slide Show" has T.I. making a duet with John Legend. This track is taken from T.I.'s sixth studio album "Paper Trail" which has been in stores since September 2008. Beside collaborating with John, T.I. who is currently serving his 366-day prison sentence also joins forces with Rihanna, Usher, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne in the effort. The music video features a montage of the rapper when he crafts songs in studio, does photo shoots, performs at live concerts and appears in charity events.

Week 32 (3-9 Aug)

08 Aug: Jade Ewen - My Man

The second single to be released from Jade's debut album is called "My Man" and will be released on the 14th September 2009. It will be available to pre-order from iTunes on the 17th August 2009. The single was premiered on BBC Radio 1 and the video has been recorded in Los Angeles.


07 Aug: Samantha Jade - Secret

Secret is a new hot track performed by Samantha Gibbs, better known as Samantha Jade which is her first single from debut album that set to be released in 2009 under West Affinity Records.


06 Aug: Modest Mouse - King Rat

"King Rat" is a song by indie rock band Modest Mouse and appears as the title track to their fifth promotional release, following 2005's The World at Large. The single was later released on the band's 2009 EP No One's First and You're Next. The video debuted on 4 August 2009—the same day the EP No One's First and You're Next was released—on MySpace and The Masses' website.


05 Aug: Little Boots - Remedy

"Remedy" is an electropop song performed by English singer Little Boots. The song was written by Little Boots and RedOne for Little Boots' debut album Hands (2009). It is scheduled to be released as the album's second single on 16 August 2009 in the United Kingdom.


04 Aug: Natalie Imbruglia - Wild About It

"Wild About It" is a pre-single track taken from Australian singer-songwriter Natalie Imbruglia's upcoming fourth studio album, Come to Life.The track is expected to have a digital release before the physical release of the first official single, "Want". The music video for "Wild About It" was filmed in London on July 25, 2009. The video premiered on Natalie Imbruglia's official website on August 3, 2009.


03 Aug: Paolo Nutini - Coming Up Easy

Paolo Nutini releases 'Coming Up Easy', the second single from his Sunny Side Up album, on August 10.
