"Dance Monkey" is a song by Australian singer Tones and I, released on 10 May 2019 as the second single from Tones and I's debut EP The Kids Are Coming. The song was produced and mixed by Konstantin Kersting. Upon release Tones and I said the song is about the expectations that are placed on musical performers.
It reached number one in Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland reached the top 10 in the Netherlands and France, and the top 20 in the UK. Upon reaching its eighth week atop the chart there, the song broke the record for the most weeks at number one in Australia by an Australian female solo artist, previously held by Kylie Minogue's 1987 song "Locomotion", which spent seven weeks atop the chart.
